Disgraceful
Fire stations closure delayed until after the election
Hospital building announcement delayed until after the election
Murrell case delayed until after the election
What a coincidence
NEW: The SNP Government has announced the replacement for the Monklands hospital in Lanarkshire has been delayed.
This would have been useful knowledge for voters to have on May 7th, but instead it comes out in June.
First Minister coming across as nasty.
1. Refuses to apologise to the women who blew the whistle on Peter Murrell in 2021 (At the time, Swinney effectively said nothing to see here)
2. Ridiculously accuses reporter of putting words in his mouth after giving slippery non-answer
Utterly disingenuous. For years we’ve had to listen to sanctimonious lectures from the SNP leadership about how complaints of bullying by women must always be taken seriously. Yet women have been bullied mercilessly for daring to ask legitimate questions with no investigation.
🎥 John Swinney was repeatedly asked if he would apologise to SNP whistleblowers Cynthia Guthrie and Allison Graham, who say they were bullied for raising concerns over the party’s finances.
Here’s what he said:
The SNP spent years demanding independence because they didn’t want Scotland ‘ruled by foreigners’ in Westminster.
Now they’re changing the rules so Scotland can be ruled by foreigners.
Every single thing this SNP is doing right now is actively harming the Scottish people.
Hi Blair from @ScotNational,
My interaction with Derek McInnes, at Ibrox today, was not ‘TENSE’.
You’ve made that up.
I didn’t feel any tension at all, in fact, my third question got a laugh from behind me.
The reason I asked Derek questions about Hearts is because he hadn’t, up until today, spoken verbally about leaving Tynecastle.
Derek, who I spoke to privately afterwards, had no issue with my questions. We chatted, we laughed, we move on and I wished him all the best.
To describe our exchange as ‘Tense’ was wrong but being wrong is something that’s become a regular occurrence at The National.
All the best
Ewen

I was present at this meeting & can vouch for the fact that every single word of this is true. I’m glad Allison and Cynthia have been able to speak up. They are both brave women of the utmost integrity. Had their warnings been heeded Murrell’s crime spree could’ve been stopped
