Orang-orang pengen tahu soal makanan.

An Open Letter to Elon Musk, Nikita Bier, and the X Team
Hello @elonmusk, @nikitabier and everyone at @X
I am an author and educational content creator from Indonesia. I use X to share stories and information about animals, science, and the environment. I also use this platform to introduce and sell the books I create.
Recently, I did not receive a revenue-sharing payout. However, I want to make it clear that this letter is not written out of disappointment over not being paid.
In fact, I would be completely fine with disabling revenue sharing altogether.
What concerns me much more is the significant difference between the results I currently receive on X and the results I receive on other platforms.
The same creator, the same type of content, and the same products can perform very differently depending on the platform. On other platforms, my content can still reach new people and lead to meaningful engagement and sales. On X, however, the results have declined dramatically.
Out of my latest 50 book sales, only one came from X.
For someone who has spent years building an audience on this platform, that result is deeply frustrating.
It makes me feel that my posts are no longer reaching people as effectively as they once did. Even when a post receives views or engagement, it does not always translate into discovery, trust, website visits, or sales.
I cannot confirm how the algorithm works internally, and I do not want to make an unfair accusation. However, I sometimes wonder whether the distribution of monetized posts is being limited because wider reach could create larger payouts for creators.
That is why I believe X should allow creators to disable revenue sharing while still giving their content a fair opportunity to reach a wider audience.
I do not need X to pay me for every successful post.
I need X to help my work reach the people who may genuinely benefit from it.
My main goals on this platform are to provide education, build a community, and sell the books I create. Reach and discovery are far more valuable to me than payout.
I also hope X can become simpler again, similar to how the platform felt between 2019 and 2023. During those years, it felt easier for creators to reach people beyond their existing followers, start conversations, and introduce their work to new audiences.
X also has enormous potential to support authors, artists, creators, and small businesses. A built-in storefront where users can display products, combined with a simple and secure payment system, would be extremely helpful for small businesses and independent creators.
Many of us are not asking X to simply pay us more.
We are asking for a healthier distribution system that allows useful content, original work, and small businesses to be discovered.
I would gladly give up revenue sharing if it meant my educational content and books had a fair chance to reach more people.
Thank you for reading.
Sincerely,
Asta Ebrahim
Makanya filmnya jg kayak gitu.😅
