unlearn shame. all forms of shame: unemployment, illness, vulnerability, longing, desire, errors, failures. you do not need to feel ashamed of what you are experiencing or living. freedom and shame cannot coexist.
I rate books by how hyperfixate-able they are, and I rate movies by how entertained they leave me right after I watch them (they don't even have to be meaningful, I just need to be in awe)
I'm watching the Place Beyond the Pines specifically for Ryan Gosling (of course) and he's DEAD not even an hour into the movie so what am I supposed to do now.....
It doesnโt, but it became manageable after being constantly pushed beyond your comfort zone. At some point, I started saying yes to whatever is offered or asked of me. It's like training. The shyness is still in me, I just have more control over it.
