The fix isn't the minimum — it's a FIXED amount. Same card, ₹5,000/month → cleared in ~3 years, ~₹1.2L less interest. Fixed beats percentage because the whole extra bit hits principal.

The minimum is ~5% of your balance. At 42%/year, ₹3,500 of your first ₹5,175 payment is pure interest. Only ₹1,675 clears real debt. As the balance shrinks, so does that 5% — the part killing your debt gets smaller every month.
