This troubles me. Not for the legal precedent, not for the fact this man gets to follow his conscience, and not that less money is being stolen.

@OwlFoxVT Ah so judgemental to say everyone is equal and deserves the same amount of love and care.
I’m glad you’re being honest about being against that.

@OwlFoxVT @jasonebeling Because you think one human has right and claim over another’s body and existence, you have dehumanized and helped contribute to the destruction of other humans.
@OwlFoxVT @jasonebeling I know why they are comparable. That you continue to reject it is to help your cognitive dissonance.
Claiming to own someone else so you can kill him or her is indeed oppression. I’m sorry you support it.
@OwlFoxVT @jasonebeling Slavery is literally only being owned economically? Or is it not the state of being owned by another? Having that other decide your fate and your life, with no deference given to your rights?
Congrats on supporting oppression.
@LisaWinslow@LeahNTorres How can you and I be equal when you are not permitted to wave your fists in my face on a train?
Either we can’t, or that is an expression of equal rights since it couldn’t happen in reverse, either.
@ThePeteRaymond This was the exact post I was going to make when I saw that awful screed from Graham. Thank you for making things easy.
*retweets shamelessly*
Throughout human history, certain categories of human beings have been classified as "non-persons"; valuable and not valuable.
Question:
When have we ever been right about that?
What makes you think you're right about it now?
@OwlFoxVT @jasonebeling What women have I oppressed by saying they have no right to harm another?
We’re slaveowners “oppressed” when told to stop oppressing others?
@OwlFoxVT @jasonebeling No, just those who express opinions that dehumanize and destroy others’ lives.
Minority or not does not change whether something right or wrong.
@LamentMyIcarus@LisaWinslow@LeahNTorres Lol. “You’re not *really* pro-life unless you support my totally arbitrary political points!”
But for the record, I am 100% against all military and police intervention and violence.
@lefthandwoman@gocubsgo84 So why are you saying rights should only exist when a fetus can do something that is not physiologically normal or possible?
And does that mean you oppose abortions at viability (21-23wks)?
@gocubsgo84@skanz0 Because at the end of the day they view the unborn as not deserving of the same human rights all the rest of us enjoy.
They base it on very faulty, subjective, and self-defeating reasons: not born, not developed, not viable, not human (literally a lie), not alive (also a lie).
@jackrwilkie One day in the near future, while pulling night shifts in the hospital, I’m going to love springing forward and hate falling backward.
It’ll be an interesting change of perspective.
@LeahNTorres The reason why abortion is comparable to enslavement is because they involve the use of what's called "human plus definitions" in order to dehumanize the victims. For example, "human plus skin colour," or "human plus born."
@beinlibertarian Yet Augustine would be the first major author to write about “just war theory”; proving his understanding of just and unjust may not be the best.
