I can finally reactivate this account after a long blank caused by my withdrawal from the international academic in the pandemic. I've just left Japan and settled in Leipzig, Germany. While based on this city until March 2023, I hope to get around Europe and visit my colleagues.
Handwriting into my schedule book upcoming events both in Japan and Europe. I should be careful in calculating the time difference because the Daylight Saving Time starts soon: eight hours before 27 March but seven hours after that.
I've carefully observed the health situation both in Japan and in Germany before my departure. But couldn't anticipate the outbreak of a war. My Lusthansa flight from Tokyo to Frankfurt was one of the final operations over the Russian territory. I don't hope it becomes a history.

I'm safely "staying at home" in Kyoto with my family, while preparing remote work for the spring semester at the University of Tokyo. Going to isolate physically but not socially!
Our panel was happily accepted but the conference is unavoidably postponed. / "Japan Videogames and/as Cultural Translation" EAJS2020: 16th International Conference of the European Association of Japanese Studies https://t.co/k1vLBFmPH4
This is my second trip to Taiwan since I visited when I was an undergraduate student and joined a sort of interchange program between Japan and Taiwan. We have no diplomatic relations but people come to know mutually and do many things together.
Arrived in Taiwan. Joining in a dialog with Taiwanese game creators https://t.co/sVVDCpqxfZ and giving a keynote talk on a conference of cultural studies https://t.co/p0rvAaihbl .
I’m organizing a lunch meeting mainly for the purpose of socializing students from China and Japan with one another this noon. Welcome any of you nevertheless if you are interested in. Join in front of the building on 12:30.
Our panel is starting in room 227 (changed from 220 seen on the program). / RT13 – Pop-Culture Studies In Japan And Beyond / ICA 2019 Belgrade: 21st International Congress of Aesthetics https://t.co/BRdou9wj5s
Yesterday I arrived at Belgrade, Serbia. I'm going to join ICA 2019, the 21st International Congress of Aesthetics, at the University of Belgrade, and read my paper in the panel "Pop-culture Studies in Japan and beyond" on Tuesday the 23rd. See you there! https://t.co/BRdou9eHGS
