I have received many messages requesting a response to Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong's comments on the Afari Military Hospital issue. Although it is clear that the senders of these messages have mischievous motives, I believe they deserve an honest reply.
Let me borrow from Ken Agyapong's campaign to put my response in context: Let "Ken be Ken." The meaning of "Let Ken be Ken" is that Ken has a straightforward, honest communication style and speaks his mind. This is Ken's brand, and he is appreciated for it. In fact, I like that about him. When he has the facts, he speaks fearlessly and plainly, always in Ghana's best interest. Therefore, his comment on Afari Military Hospital is deemed Ken being Ken, speaking the facts as they are, except that, on this issue, he didn't have all the facts about the project at the time he spoke.
The truth is, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong's claim that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Administration did nothing about the Afari Military Hospital for 8 years is short on facts, as they carried out significant work at Afari. If Ken had had the facts, he would have stated them forcefully and with passion and style.
Here are the facts of the matter:
Akufo-Addo-Bawumia inherited Afari Military Hospital at 40-46% completion in 2017 and, by 2025, handed it over at 98% completion, a grand 58% effort compared to the NDC's 40% in 8 years. The outstanding 2% work required to hand over and operationalize the hospital is estimated at $500,000. That is all the NDC government needs to start saving lives at Afari Military Hospital.
So, to my NDC mischief peddlers, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong cannot save you from your non-performance in government. Now that he is seized with the facts, try him next time; he will say it as it is: that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Administration indeed brought Afari Military Hospital from 40% to 98% completion, and that all the President Mahama needs to do is put in a 2% effort or $500k to finish the job. I am sure you will soon hear from Kennedy Agyapong, plainly and forcefully, about the beautiful work the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Administration did at Afari.
Facts are sacred.

Effective today, fibre broadband prices have crashed!
Previously, for a month of unlimited 100 Mbps broadband, you paid GHS 987. Today, for the same 100 Mbps, you pay GHS 299.

I want to express my gratitude to the management and staff of MTN who have heeded our call for more affordable, stable and reliable fibre broadband. From the @MoCDTI, we will continue to push for better service packages for the Ghanaian people.

He says he is waiting for direction from the government. He considers himself a law-abiding citizen who pays taxes and creates jobs for locals, so he is not leaving the country before 30 June.”
