*"...Eritrea rejects the report before the Council as fundamentally flawed in its methodology, unsupported by independently verified information, and disconnected from realities on the ground. Its findings and conclusions therefore lack credibility and cannot serve as a reliable basis for informed deliberation or action by this Council".

*"...The Special Rapporteur argues that his mandate is indispensable as the only international mechanism responsible for monitoring Eritrea. This assertion disregards the existence of multiple United Nations mechanisms, including the Universal Periodic Review, treaty bodies, specialized agencies, and other intergovernmental processes through which all Member States, including Eritrea, are regularly assessed".

*"...Eritrea has maintained its sovereignty, preserved social stability, sustained public administration, and continued the delivery of essential services despite decades of conflict, sanctions, and external pressures. While acknowledging the need for continued progress, this reality is fundamentally inconsistent with the picture repeatedly presented through this mandate".

*:...When a country-specific mechanism persists despite sustained questions regarding its selectivity, methodology, and balance, it risks shifting from a tool of engagement into one of entrenchment. Rather than promoting constructive dialogue, it perpetuates a divisive process that has failed to command broad confidence among Member States.... Eritrea therefore rejects both the report and the resolution before the Council and reiterates its call for the termination of this mandate".

Eritrea and Egypt have agreed, in talks held this afternoon between Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Badr Abdellaty, to strengthen their all-rounded bilateral ties of cooperation and to coordinate their respective positions on issues of common interest.

In a Joint Press Conference held after the talks, the two Foreign Ministers:
- Invoked the historical and brotherly ties that exist between Eritrea and Egypt and the extensive talks held between President Isaias Afwerki and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in Cairo on 8 June this week.
- Affirmed that the two sides have reached a cooperation agreement on the sectors of mining, infrastructure, housing, the pharmaceutical industry, maritime transport, ports connectivity as well as ports development especially in Assab, Massawa and Marsa Fatima; and, land, air and maritime connectivity between the two countries.
- Egypt reiterated its full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Eritrea.
- In regard to the security of the Red Sea and the region as a whole, they reiterated the need and urgency of bolstering the capabilities of national institutions as the bedrock of stability and development. This was in line with the pronounced and aligned positions of the two Heads of State on the imperative of respecting the foundational principles of international law on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all States.

The two Foreign Ministers further affirmed the continuation of periodic consultative meetings in Cairo and Asmara between relevant government bodies of the two sides as well as coordination in their positions on regional and international matters.

President Isaias Afwerki and his delegation visited yesterday a number of industrial plants and logistics facilities in the Greater Cairo and Suez Canal Zones to discuss and explore prospects of capacity building and technology transfer with the various entities. These include: Gyto Pharma, Suez Canal Industrial Zone, Cement and Steel Factory, Egypt Basic Industrial Corporation, and Ain Asokhina Port New Terminal.

After the first camp of the FIFA international window, our National Team has concluded its activities and met all the new players who participated in testing. The next camp will take place soon, ahead of the important games in September. All the players enjoyed a productive eight-day stay in Eritrea. During this time, the Commissioner of Culture and Sport, Ambassador Zemede Tekle, met with all the players, the Head Coach, and ENFF officials. The camp concluded successfully, and the National Team looks sharp as they prepare to select the squad. The official announcement will be made by ENFF.

President Isaias Afwerki and his host, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, held extensive talks in Cairo today on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual importance.

The two leaders agreed to deepen and elevate the historical and brotherly ties of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries to a higher level.

In this respect, President Isaias Afwerki and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi agreed on the launching of concrete programmes in the sectors of marine resources, development of port infrastructure, and maritime transport within the overall economic, political and diplomatic frameworks and agreements reached in the past.

The two leaders also discussed, in greater detail, the economic, political, diplomatic and security dimensions of developments and trends in the Red Sea, the Middle East, the Horn of Africa and other international matters of mutual interest.

Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, subsequently discussed implementation details of the agendas outlined in the extensive consultations between the two Heads of State.

The enemy was larger, better equipped, and supported by powerful external interests. Many believed that independence was impossible. However, the Eritreans relied on something more formidable than weapons: resilience, organisation, sacrifice, and vision. They had faith in their own capabilities, and that belief transformed the impossible into the possible. When President Isaias Afwerki, then Secretary-General of the EPLF, declared during the struggle that independence was near, his words reflected a deep understanding of the people’s strength and the course of history. The independence achieved on May 24, 1991, was no accident; it was the result of resilience, and resilience guaranteed victory. This victory was not just a triumph of one generation, but a collective success of men and women, fighters and civilians, all united by a common national purpose. #EritreaAT35

The Eritrea National Team recently visited the iconic Fiat Tagliero building in Asmara, a site renowned for its architectural significance and symbolic importance to the nation. While exploring this historical landmark, the team experienced a serene, joyful atmosphere and took in the rich cultural heritage surrounding them. During their visit, they also took time to appreciate other notable sites in Asmara, learning about the city's history and significance. In the coming days, the team plans to travel to Massawa, where they will continue training while further immersing themselves in the local culture and environment.

They can not even lie properly. The mayor of Addis Ababa is saying there's a delay because the Election Board cannot find the names of the electorate and print the ballot papers fast enough, and the cadres are announcing the election deadline is extended by 12 hours due the sheer number of the electorate. Ali Suleman and Siem Eyob are currently at Cairo Airport on their way to Asmara. Ali has been excelling in the Egyptian League, ranking among the top goal scorers, while Siem from Sheffield United is also performing exceptionally well. Additionally, Eritrea's outstanding goalkeeper, Jonathan Sultan, is in excellent shape! The excitement to be in Asmara is palpable. With such talent and determination, the future of our team looks incredibly bright!
