@IBankruptBookie @CBJcenter 1st, roster player+ is not that weak of a return for a player they need to move, especially considering the teams interested that + could be a 2nd or a good prospect on top
@ArticKing23 They play different styles of hockey, I think it comes down to fit if MTL thinks Jiricek fits the future construction better then it makes sense, in a Vacuum I wouldn't trade either of them but given Jiricek is on the out it makes sense for CBJ, up to what MTL sees as future top4
@NnTarno@5Canuckss@thegoldenmuzzy An elite playoff 3rd liner would be great, not worth losing the #1 LW, roster construction is more than just good players = good team, nobody is saying Knies has more Value on the Open market than Crosby but to this team it's close
@5Canuckss@thegoldenmuzzy Beloved young player that plays the game exactly how leaf fans want to see vs aging superstar that doesn't fit the role the leafs need and history of the leafs trying and failing to plug in aging superstars, how don't you see why leafs fans hate this idea
@OilersJack I'll always root for Bouchard because of how good he was for the London Knights, but a developing prospect is usually not 25 years old with nearly 300 NHL games
@twa5078@SchmiddyG I honestly don't care if Reaves is out for 10 games, leafs will do just fine, an illegal check to the head requires the contact to be avoidable and his head being down at chest height while he continues to the corner instead of turning as expected that makes it unavoidable
@twa5078@SchmiddyG Targeted how? Did he elevate? No, did he elbow? No, did he try to play the puck? Yes, just give a legitimate reason to say he targeted the head cause I don't see one
@yoke_and_puck@PBojarinov@JesseBlake And head contact is an automatic penalty in IIHF, but not in the NHL so the fact that I'm not going to argue against that he hit his head is not itself a penalty, now explain how it was an illegal check to the head which is a penalty
