One of the best parts about Kismet Casa is when past residents get to connect with current residents
Kismet Casa Kesennuma —> Kismet Casa Buenos Aires
Many people have asked me how I ended up in Japan, what I did, and what the experience was like. Here’s a little glimpse into my adventure at the @hackatsuon and how @KismetCasa played a part in it https://t.co/F2MytOqILD
Kismet Casa Kesennuma was one of our most memorable experiences yet
From learning about the city and it’s history, working with local officials, and building together—to showcasing live solutions for the community to vote on what they’d like to see implemented
Huge thank you to @RonTuretzky & @JMatsushiba for joining us on the weekly @ensdomains Public Goods call to share about the voting platform the community and Kesennuma officials used to vote on their favorite Hackatsuon submissions as well as to share each their experiences
On the last night of Kismet Casa Kesennuma
The family cheffed up a homemade Italian meal for the local officials to thank them, we celebrated a birthday, and the officials surprised each resident with a coveted Kesennuma token
Happy to have participated this. Despite the EF's shift towards bigger cities, we still think that supporting local communities are still highly impactful.
Shout out to @ensdomains for being the lead sponsor (@Coltron_eth).
We brought 14 developers from 8 countries to live in Kesennuma for 2 weeks to work on innovative solutions alongside the community and local government
We showcased what the hackers built at the Hackatsuon Public Showcase
