@Yoojjay_ Imagine remaking a show called THE LAST AIRBENDER and the fucking airbender isn't treated like the main character. Abysmal stuff happening at Netflix.
the Zuko and fire nation bias in natla is so fucking irritating especially with how they pay Aang dust, the literal protagonist of the show, they are not even putting half of the same effort into his character
just confirms once again that atla was a successful group project where each member was integral in their own way, had you put any of them in charge alone we wouldn't have gotten the same result this is why idc about their individual opinions like tf is he talking about
I finished s2 of Netflix's #AvatartheLastAirbender, and I LOVED it. It had the spirit and heart of the original, and even tightened up a few critical story things if you ask me -- many lovely character moments, and the cast is WONDERFUL! #natla
@puppyochako oh Aang is by far my favorite so that's not an issue at all, as long as the movie doesn't contradict atla canon, include any tlok bs and doesn't butcher the characters I'd be fine
my main "issue" with the show has always been it not dealing enough with aangs trauma which for a kids show is understandable ig so I absolutely love this but as someone who didn't like anything coming after the og show anybody please tell me this movie is actually good
one of the things that bothered me so much in the first season, they highly toned down the comedy and whimsy but included the most cartoonish jokes, the balance was just so off
I don’t think anything summarizes NATLA better than a really bad attempt at serious teen/war trauma drama followed up by an out of place joke from the original show
that's what makes it so frustrating many things involving the show are actually quite decent but the writing sucks so bad it just ruins the whole thing, ban those writers from ever touching a pen again
why do an adaptation if you won't even stay true to the core character traits and themes just write your own fuckass story and don't call it something it's not
