Hack the Box @hackthebox_eu really exposed me to a lot of stuff I need to learn about network ports.
Like:
Redis
Telnet
SMB, etc.
It's now my turn to do the remaining work.

[I am Great👾📿 @HackingJutsu]

Dived into Hack the Box today.
Let's get down to business. I really seek exposure here.

What is HTTP Downgrading, why use it, and how does it work?

HTTP/2 is default for most web apps these days, however, it's not uncommon for backend servers to still use HTTP/1.1 causing parsing mismatches between frontend and backend.

And that's where HTTP downgrading comes in! But what is it?

HTTP downgrading is the process of forcing a request to be processed under HTTP/1.1 instead of HTTP/2.

This allows you to manipulate how the frontend and backend servers interpret requests and exploit vulnerabilities unique to HTTP/1.1 parsing such as Content-Length Transfer-Encoding (CL.TE) attacks.

How to downgrade HTTP/2 to HTTP/1.1 using Burp Suite

1️⃣ Open Burp Suite and Navigate to Proxy → HTTP History

2️⃣ Locate the request that is currently using HTTP/2.

3️⃣ Send the Request to Repeater

4️⃣ In the Repeater tab, open the "Inspector" panel → Request Attributes → Protocol

5️⃣ Change HTTP Version to HTTP/1.1

6️⃣ Click "Send" in Repeater.

If successful, you should receive a valid response, confirming the server accepts HTTP/1.1.

And that's it! You've just downgraded the HTTP protocol and confirmed that the frontend server accepts HTTP/1.1! 🥳

You are now ready to smuggle requests! If you want to learn how to exploit this, we've got a Web Academy Lab you need to check out: https://t.co/4ezrgYGxbE

Your ideas don’t really exist until you express them.

Thinking alone isn’t enough. Writing and sharing refines your thoughts, exposes knowledge gaps, and creates opportunities for growth. Here’s are 6 reasons you should start a blog 👇

1️⃣ We only know what we create and share

When you put thoughts into words, you challenge yourself to structure them. This process forces clarity, making your knowledge more concrete and usable.

2️⃣ Writing exposes gaps in understanding

Ever tried explaining a concept and realized you didn’t fully grasp it? That’s the power of articulation, it shows where you need to dig deeper.

3️⃣ Unique perspectives matter

You might think, “Someone else has already said this,” but your voice, experiences, and insights make it unique. The right people will resonate with YOUR version of the idea.

4️⃣ A blog is a personal & professional archive

Documenting your thoughts creates a valuable resource for yourself and others. What seems obvious today might be insightful to someone else (or even future you!).

5️⃣ Sharing ideas fosters engagement & serendipity

The more you share, the more you connect with like-minded people. Opportunities arise from conversations you wouldn’t have had otherwise.

6️⃣ Your ideas can change lives.

Something that feels minor to you might be groundbreaking for someone else. But they’ll never know if you don’t share it.

You don’t need to be an expert. Just document what you’re learning, thinking, and experiencing. Someone out there is waiting for your perspective.

What’s one idea you’ve been holding back on sharing?

Drop it in the replies! 👇

I started Learning Bash Scripting Yesterday. At first, I thought it was gonna be easier because it has Basic Programming Concept, but as I dive deep it keeps getting tough. I really Love it tho because of it high level of functionality in this field.

After Several Hours of trying to SSH to my VM. I finally realised my Network Connection was on NAT mode. So I Opened up a Port for access, and finally I was able to establish the connection to server. Finally I have learned how SSH works.
