We’re deep into rehearsals and it’s sounding preeeeetty epic…

8th October @EartHackney we’re launching our new album ‘Collaborations: Volume Two’ with guests including @DJYodaUK@OlaOnabule and many, many more!
Can’t WAIT for our biggest, most ambitious collaborative show since we sold out the Barbican.
Did you know that shanties now sung on the east coast of England originated in the Caribbean?!
I spoke to the brilliant shantymen known as the Lowestoft Longshoremen for the podcast at the incredible @FirstLight_Fest last month.

Very proud to have had my podcast featured in @guardian this weekend, and hit #11 in Music Podcast charts (#3 in Music Commentary), up against celebs & corporate-produced shows.
There’s never been a better time to listen if you’re musically curious!

Very chuffed to have my podcast featured as something that’s ‘in’ this week in @guardian
Only 9 episodes in, and so much exciting and interesting stuff to come this year.
Do check it out if you’ve not done so yet: https://t.co/IMbuH09ihD
Olly, Luke and Ed will be joining @stevepretty and other guests for this, reworking some old material and premiering some new. Should be really special!
Final podcast episode of 2023 is OUT NOW, and it’s a bumper space special!
Featuring exclusive interview with @Cmdr_Hadfield about links between music and exploration, the value of music to humanity, and changing guitar strings whilst orbiting the earth https://t.co/lowl8muGGf
A more detailed, in-depth episode than usual thanks to @thenitinsawhney 's incredible depth & breadth of knowledge about flamenco and music more generally, but so much interesting stuff in this episode!
Plus @stevepretty losing his mind performing some solo festive Steve Reich
New episode of my podcast Steve Pretty On The Origin of the Pieces is OUT NOW.
This time, after a diversion for my festive take on a minimalist classic, my guest @thenitinsawhney takes me into the world of flamenco. Tune in!

I thought this clip might resurface today. I played in the Parkinson band on numerous occasions (including the infamous Meg Ryan interview), and we often talked about this episode. He always gave his guests the maximum opportunity to shine.
