Here’s what happened:

✈️ I booked a Bengaluru → Doha → Bengaluru round trip on Qatar Airways through MakeMyTrip for ₹40,075 (Booking ID: NN7AJYDA48378382729)

❌ Qatar Airways cancelled the BLR-DOH flight. Not me. THE AIRLINE.
📅 Cancellation request raised — 6 March 2026
📅 PNR cancelled at airline — 13 April 2026
📅 Refund request filed with airline — 13 April 2026
📅 Today — 13 May 2026. 70+ DAYS. STILL NO REFUND.

Your app now says “expected by 14 May 2026.” That date has passed. My account shows NOTHING.

Your customer care? An absolute joke.
— Promised a response in 48 hours. Never came.
— No proactive updates. No calls. No emails.
— Chat support vanishes after copy-paste apologies.
— I have been chasing YOU for money I never owed.
This is NOT a favour I am asking for. This is MY MONEY for a flight YOUR PARTNER AIRLINE cancelled. I am entitled to a full refund of ₹36,576 and I want it NOW.

@MakeMyTrip @MakeMyTripCare — you are NASDAQ-listed. You claim to be India’s #1 travel platform. ACT LIKE IT.

⚠️ A WARNING to every professional who books travel through @MakeMyTrip — read this before you trust them with your money.

My flight (Qatar Airways QR4787, BLR → DOH) was cancelled by the airline on March 8, 2026. Not by me. By the airline. I immediately applied for a refund of ₹36,576 on March 6th through MakeMyTrip.

It has now been nearly 60 DAYS. I have not received a single rupee.

Here's what I did to follow up:
✅ Sent formal written complaints
✅ Called customer care multiple times
✅ Reached out via chat — repeatedly
✅ Was stranded in Doha with ZERO support from MakeMyTrip

Here's what I got back:
❌ "Please wait 45 working days" — Rinku
❌ "Please allow 48 hours" — Asif
❌ "Refund will be processed soon" — Pushpa
❌ "Refund will be processed soon" — Neha

Same script. Different names. Zero accountability.

MakeMyTrip's own tracker showed the refund was expected from the airline by May 4, 2026. That date has PASSED. Still nothing.

This is not a customer service failure. This is a systemic practice of holding customers' money hostage while hiding behind airline timelines and copy-paste responses.

I am now filing a formal complaint with:

🔴 DGCA (aviation regulator)
🔴 My bank for a chargeback

To every travel manager, HR professional, and corporate booker reading this — MakeMyTrip is NOT a safe platform for business or personal travel when things go wrong. They collect your money instantly but when a refund is due, you are on your own.
