Hi Jason, thanks for writing! In Oct we finalized a new version of the site & have been finalizing key functionality portions that relate to existing members and thus take priority. But we'll be adding those back by Dec.

Only "Blog" has a working link. The rest seem to be nonfunctional javascripts. Not exactly confidence inspiring for those doing due diligence, sorry.

@gili92107 Very true. Demonstrations, especially during COVID could be one of the most likely places that will get you sick. There needs to be a risk assessment regardless of what country you are in.
Don't go on a project alone.
Keep in communication every hr or 30min.
Build relationships with people on the ground who could save and vouch for you.
Top safety trips learned from real life experiences by @chrismatography#FreelanceHacks#journalism#safety#freelance
News outlets shoudn't outsource their risk and liability via working with freelancers. It's imptnt to have an honest conversation w/ your editor abt what u can do & how they can help.
Elisabet Cantenys of @ACOSalliance#FreelanceHacks with @IJNet#journalism@safety#freelance
If u feel pressured to work on a dangerous project...Assess: Do you have health insurance, what contingencies do u have? Will it cost more to recover than to get the safety equipment & how much ur being paid?
@chrismatography#FreelanceHacks with @IJNet#journalism@safety
Editors need to have the same level of understanding of safety measures-editorial value vs. risk, does the journalist have access to safety training & eqpmnt? You can't afford to not think abt safety
From Elisabet Cantenys of @ACOSalliance#FreelanceHacks with @IJNet#journalism
For safety it's a balance btwn effort by #freelancers & editors. We need to do a better job speaking up on the terms of assignments & hazard pay. Editors need to ask questions on equipment & make suggestions.

"The pandemic gave more powers to police and paramilitary forces and journalism seemed to be suspended in Kashmir.
So it seemed that journalism became a casualty"
