That's a really outdated mindset
Japan doesn't even have its own LLM like DeepSeek
Its biggest model is Rakuten AI which is a finetuned version of Chinese DeepSeek
The cope about China not innovating can't last forever
@PovilasKorop Lock your versions, no ^ or * in your composer/package jsons also commit your .lock file for deep dep tree to be locked on the same versions, because just locking main deps doesnt mean their deps are locked
@levelsio Anything you can point at to get into ETFs S&P investing? I’m doing my own research but any resources are higher appreciated I’d rather not just hold capital inactive in a bank
@t3dotgg This must be for more clout, I thought you were good since you were using real languages and real tools, maybe git gud, or pay an actual software engineer and keep doing content 😌
@verymoisturized Seems like there’s an opening for a dating app that as long as you have 3-5 people in the talks it makes you less likely to show up and match with new ones, or one that judges looks and info and matches you with similar levels, rectify the 5%, the hookup, the hypergamy
@yongfook Narrow minded to not use llms at all especially at the senior/tech lead level, where you know what design patterns you want for each part etc
If you’re opposing cursor specifically that’s fine all it does is indexing the code base create embeddings & send em with the prompt
@ImLunaHey It is indexing the files and creates embeddings that are attacked to the llm prompt pretty much, the output is much different from an individual llm because in your prompt you do not include as much code base context manually
@ImLunaHey But isn’t always the business that makes decisions based on the financial impact that drives development?
To me he may be liability for a team but for a one/two man ventures he has a bit of everything needed mindset wise.
@gilhuybrecht @anton_webdes Publishing your work can have a domino effect these days, there was a wonderful talk on the subject at laracon this year by @aarondfrancis
