I just think the Thunder got by on their good looks, not needing to run offensive sets against 28 other teams. Spurs are the 1 team where they needed better team offensive concepts. It was clear in regular season and they ignored it.

In the 2005 Playoffs Manu Ginobili had more FT made than FG made
Chauncey Billups did it 6 times in 03, 04, 06, 07, 08, 09
Dirk Nowitzki in '06
Jimmy Butler in 2020
James Harden '17, '15, '12
David Robinson in '99
Alonzo Mourning and Patrick Ewing in 00
Mutombo in 01
Tim Duncan in 02
Paul Pierce in 03
All the SGA slander has become corny. He finished fourth in free throw attempts per game on a team that was 17th. He's as close to a throwback player as you get: a (mostly) inside the three-point line scorer who can beat you a bunch of ways. He gets calls, yes. Gets fouled, too.
Thunder haters will see these plays, deny the fouls, then call the Thunder floppers saying:
“The Spurs play pure and ethical basketball”
“The Thunder play way too physical”
“The refs are rigging the series”
Delusion is at an all time high
@BarryOnHere If he isnt a superstar then why have all 3 teams in the playoffs sent double teams at him? If he truly wasn't that good they could just guard him 1v1.
Tim Legler:
“I know a lot of people want to make it about the whistle every time Oklahoma City plays because they hate Oklahoma City, whatever. To me, this game was not about the whistle. It was about the fact that Oklahoma City had more guys step up and raise the bar that needed to on a given night.”

As a high school basketball coach i tell my guys if they can feel someone underneath them while they are in air on a jump shot. Then fall so they won't land on their foot and roll an ankle. Do we not remember kobes ankle injury from Jalen Rose?
If falling helps prevent Shai from getting his legs, ankles, and feet injured, so be it. SGA has rarely had injuries, so it’s worked pretty well so far.
I’d rather him be unpopular than hurt.

MUST LISTEN TO THE GREAT MIKE BREEN. The best NBA announcer speaks truth about this pervasive over-the-top whining about SGA ‘flopping & getting all the calls.”
The objectivity of prime ABC play by play man trumps all others. #Thunder
The agenda driven narrative about Shai is getting louder because “they” have to make an excuse to drown out the real story…
That OKC is one win away from the NBA Finals without their 2nd and 3rd best offensive players.
OKC should not win tonight, shorthanded on the road, underdogs against a desperate alien.
OKC has nothing to lose.
