This was a decision made by Juventus as a club, communicated before the award. It wasn’t in Cristiano Ronaldo’s hands.
We must be able to trust content from professional journalists.
Let’s leave the ‘agenda’ posts for non-professionals who have no other jobs other than Elon Musk’s stipends. We can’t have these lines blurred.

Hausas still wear our traditional clothes more than any other ethnic group in Nigeria. We still speak our native language more than any other group and retain our traditional architecture more than all Nigerian groups combined.
People in the South are in no position to speak on cultural erasure. I have traveled to the Southwest, Southeast, and South South.
The average Southerner cosplays a Western appearance every day. Wearing European style wigs, blouses and skirts, or shirts and trousers is the symbol of refinement in the South.
The majority speak English or Pidgin English for daily activities. Native languages are seen as a sign of backwardness, relegated to the home and informal settings. Most indigenous languages are endangered and risk extinction in the next 100 years. I once discussed this with a shopkeeper in Uyo who could not say basic greetings in her native language.
Watching random Nollywood movies, I cringe at the forced Western accents they use to portray refinement 😂
Hausa culture is the most visible in Nigeria, lived daily by millions unapologetically. Come to the North: most of us dress in native Hausa clothes, speak the Hausa language, and embody Hausa culture even non Hausa people in the North. We do not relegate it to festivals and holidays. We do not cosplay European or Arab culture. All features of Hausa civilization are present in our daily lives. Your dislike of Islam blinds you. Your cultures are at risk of extinction or fading into ceremonial & performative displays in art, symbols of an assumed unrefined, distasteful past, simply because you are ashamed of them. Leave Hausa Muslims alone!!

@sadiqGsadiq Allahu Akbar. This is truly heartbreaking. May Allah forgive their souls and grant them Jannah, and give the family strength and comfort. Ameen
