@jcalvinmeyer This song is gonna be played all year long. Teasing but never closing the deal. They will be 2 games out of the wildcard at the trading deadline and still 2 games at season’s end.
@OriolesMagic23 Why wasn’t Gunnar moved to third, and the best fielding OF unit in the game in the last half of the ninth. We’ve seen Mayo choke in the field before. We’ve seen Taveras fielding skills!
@Orioles@TRowePrice So Alby, why didn’t you have your best fielding unit in the game in the ninth inning? Move Gunnar from DH to 3B and whatever 3 outfielders that are the least likely to choke. (Do we have 3?).
This is two nights in a row, the best fielding unit wasn’t on the field. Wake up Dude.
@Orioles@TRowePrice The Orioles Way. Good pitching, sound defense and basic baseball fundamentals. All in short supply again with the team. Despite their best efforts, the Orioles, they won. Mayo, Jackson Holiday, Taveras, O’Neil, basically 2/3s of the team…can’t play defense. Good job, Rogers!
@jcalvinmeyer The city endured four years of horrible baseball so the team could draft Adley, Kerstad, Cowser, Gunnar and Holiday. Final accountability rests with the individual players, Elias (who drafted them) & the organization that failed to develop them. Welcome to mid market hell.
@jcalvinmeyer All they lack is pitching, defense, fundamentals, heart, and a manager who doesn’t have his head up his ass. Tonight the illusion of some sort of backing into the 6 slot in playoffs finally died.
@masnOrioles My least favorite since team since I started rooting for them in 1974. The Orioles Way: pitching, defense and fundamentals. This team has none of them. It also lacks heart and a manager with any intuitive sense for game management.
@SleeperOrioles Jackson Holiday & Coby Mayo batting sub .200 in mid-June. And neither of them can play quality defense. And the star & face of the team is batting .224.
