remember when hanbin said last year: “this is the first time in my life i’ve felt my birthday so fully and completely. it was a meaningful birthday […] to put it simply, it’s really thanks to all of you. because i was, in some ways, a private/closed-off person, you guys did everything—the birthday cafes, the ads, and so on. honestly, i never really went to go see cafes or ads, so the previous birthdays didn’t really ‘land’ on me. but this time, as i’ve been living life, that private part of me has opened up a bit. as i became more accepting and actually went to the cafes and experienced things—getting these greeting celebrations and events—when that touches you, it’s just the act itself that becomes meaningful. it seems that’s what made it meaningful this year. if i didn’t have those things, i probably wouldn’t have thought of it as so meaningful.”
