Can you imagine how much less anxiety, fear, angst, and heartbreak we would have if we truly trusted God?
I know it's not always easy, sweet friend. But God sees things we can’t see. He knows things we don’t know. And He wants us to trust His ways and His plans.
A simple prayer of surrender for today...
Lord, I'm so grateful for Your everlasting love and vision for my life. Help me embrace the fact that Your plans are so much greater than mine. Humble my heart in the moments when I try to maintain control so I can fully serve You. Amen.
How can we face hurt upon hurt, disappointment upon disappointment, longsuffering upon longsuffering, & still run our race with oxygen filling our lungs, peace filling our minds, & joy filling our hearts?
We keep our eyes on Jesus. He will show us how to endure. Hebrews 12:1-3
"do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
God is still at work, friend. And you can absolutely trust Him.
Let this verse be your soul’s declaration tonight.
“But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me,” (Psalm 13:5-6).
Often we're quick to remember others’ hurtful words but slow to remember God’s healing words.
Let's set our minds on things above by choosing to remember God’s words, repeat God’s words, and believe God’s words about us.
We must let God’s Word become the words of our story.
A depleted girl can quickly become a defeated girl when she lets emotions dictate her reactions.
Sometimes we need to slow down, say no, take a nap, and regroup.
Life is much more enjoyable and we are a lot less irritable when our pace is not set to the rhythm of rush.
God’s way is perfect. We may not understand His plans, but we know we can trust it to be better for us than anything we could devise for ourselves.
“As for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him.”
Psalm 18:30
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” James 1:19 (NIV)
Lord, interrupt us with this truth today. All. Day. Long.
