@DanisMCFC What exact situations was he referring to as rigged? The disallowed goal must be a dagger in the heart, but it was the right decision and still, they were 2-0 up and the 3 Argentinian goals were clean.
@chrisjenks79@usmntonly Also, you can debate about the red card, which is subjective. But fifa didnt revoke the red card. They just removed the mandatory one game ban, which makes no sense and was never done before. (With Ronaldo they removed an extra disciplinary 2game ban, not the mandatory ban)
@chrisjenks79@usmntonly I will explain it. Fifa rules say red card is mandatory one game ban and no appeal is possible. They repeat in the slideshow before every game. Then potus calls and the rule and pregame slideshow literataly changed hours before the game.
@VinceJeevar@usmntonly Then there should be a procedure to appeal. Fifa said before the tournament and before every game that there can be no appeal to a red card, mandatory ban. The night before the game against Belgium, they changed the slideshow, literaly deleting that sentence ...
@BabelHodl@usmntonly Rules dont allow a red to be suspended dude. Also, the red was not suspended by Fifa, they kent the red but suspended the automatic, mandatory one game ban.
@usmntonly Lol these ignorant blokes still using the Ronaldo argument. Ronaldo served his 1 game automatic ban. Its his extra, disciplinary sanction of 2 game ban that was suspended. Balogun automatic one game ban was suspended, which is not an option in the rules
@iwatchbugs Lol no shame in that. You are awesome in the 'American' sports like american football and baseball, but also olympics like gymnastics and tracknfield. Belgium is all about voetbal(your soccer) and cycling.
@Saintincity84@DougieCritchley Tbh as a Belgian and Lukaku fan: he is just below those, certainly Lewa and Kane who are more complete, technical footballers and even more clinical. But when he can run at goal, he is better because of his speed and strenght.
@sophiequinn224@DougieCritchley Same goes for Kane, Messi, Ronaldo, ... He was a beast in England and Italy as well, the two competitions with the strongest defending in the world.
@DougieCritchley Also dont forget that about 32% of kanes goals are penalties. Lukaku only about 18%, because Hazard was the first penalty taker for Belgium for a long time. Otherwise Lukaku would already be 100+ goals
@DougieCritchley Actually, he is a very clinical finisher. Proven that again this tournament. His weaker part are his technical abilities, certainly in tight spaces. But if fit he is a physical beast and clinical finisher.
@raptorexelic@BelRedDevils The earlier official statements against political interference were good. But this post is not good, too much negative energy.
@ikekeh12@Leine177514@BelRedDevils Lol dude check your facts. It is the first time a red card mandatory ban was suspended on a WC since the introduction of yellow and red cards in 1970.
@BelRedDevils I dont think the official Red Devil account should bother with adding to the controversy and negative energy. Plenty of personal accounts for that. Lets just enjoy the win. Greetings from a proud Belgian.
@benwright Agree it was not a red card. Accidents can happen. The incorrect var use is not an argument, the slomo vs real speed are guideluines. Ronaldo comparison: he served the mandatory 1 game ban. Balo not. Fifa could need a wc eview committy for this, but atm there is none ...
