They just removed the mandatory one game ban, which makes no sense and was never done before. (With Ronaldo they removed an extra disciplinary 2game ban, not the mandatory ban)

@chrisjenks79 @usmntonly I will explain it. Fifa rules say red card is mandatory one game ban and no appeal is possible. They repeat in the slideshow before every game. Then potus calls and the rule and pregame slideshow literataly changed hours before the game.

@usmntonly Lol these ignorant blokes still using the Ronaldo argument. Ronaldo served his 1 game automatic ban. Its his extra, disciplinary sanction of 2 game ban that was suspended. Balogun automatic one game ban was suspended, which is not an option in the rules
