I just published: When war and famine hit home: A PhD student who stepped up
What would you do if war and famine broke out in your homeland — while you were ten thousand kilometers away, working on your PhD? This is how Hagos @hagos98 chose to act.

Sheng-Yang He delivers a @IPMBSinica Distinguished Lecture on "Plant-microbe-climate interactions in the phyllosphere"
Molecular plant-microbe interactions #MPMI is fascinating, adding temperature into the picture makes it even more so!
Yesterday, June 10, 2026, @afri_isaaa launched the much awaited Biotech Africa Database platform, a portal that provides country-specific information on biotech crop approval decisions and summaries of key regulatory requirements for import, export and transit of biotech products. It also offers, at a glance, a guide to application processes for the movement of biotech products across borders.
Said ISAAA AfriCenter's Director @mkarembu during the launch: “Today we have opened a door where data replaces rumours, where a farmer in Kampala (Uganda) sees the same biotech information as a researcher in Kaduna (Nigeria), as a trader in Johannesburg (South Africa) and as a policy maker in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).”
Here is what transpired during the launch: https://t.co/OQ8Te4dumj
🌱 Great to be in Reno, NV, celebrating the 80th anniversary of SIVB ! 🎉
A fantastic opportunity to learn about the latest advances in plant biotechnology & genome editing, while reconnecting with colleagues. #SIVB2026
Truly honor to present our recent work on #agrobacteria by @IPMBSinica#AMT team at JIC/TSL Friday seminar. Thanks Sophien @KamounLab for the invitation. Great visit and exciting to catch up with old friends and make new friends. Learning exciting sciences and great discussion

Great visit at @OxfordBiology. Thanks my host @EunyoungChae for the warm hospitality. Enjoyed sharing our work on #agrobacteria@IPMBSinica, talking to people for scientific discussion as well as casual chatting, and experiencing the Oxford tradition.
Delighted to welcome five professors from #KAIST to the 2026 AS-KAIST Bilateral Symposium.
Thank you for the inspiring talks and discussions. Looking forward to future collaborations between Academia Sinica @AcadSinica and KAIST @kaistpr.
A popular science article featuring Drs. Erh-Min Lai @erhminlai, Chih-Horng Kuo @ChihHorngKuo, and Chih-Hang Wu @AdamWu9527 on how plant immunity and floral timing influence Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and genome editing in Arabidopsis
