OASIS have reportedly rejected an offer to take a residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas — and it may be down to some advice from BONO

NOEL and LIAM GALLAGHER have been flooded with new gig opportunities, but the band passed on The Sphere despite having the resources to create a full immersive show. A source said Noel has always admired U2’s iconic productions — from Zooropa to PopMart and their Achtung Baby run at The Sphere — and Oasis’ team could easily craft visuals spanning their Manchester beginnings to now.

But when the idea came up, Noel wasn’t interested. He reportedly recalled Bono complaining about the massive cost of staging a Sphere show and felt the numbers didn’t add up.

Noel, known for keeping a close eye on budgets, wasn’t willing to sink money into a spectacle that could end up losing cash for the band.
