The three greatest obstacles to truly free, fair, and credible elections in Nigeria are:

1. The Legislature: responsible for enacting and reforming electoral laws.
2. INEC: tasked with conducting elections impartially and transparently.
3. The Judiciary: entrusted with interpreting electoral laws and adjudicating disputes fairly.

All of these institutions have fallen short of public expectations, confidence in the electoral process thereby weakening it.
