The TPLF leadership and high level representatives of the Prosperity Party held another round of discussions on various issues of far reaching significance to peace & stability in the country. The discussion was conducted in a very cordial manner. The discussion mainly focused on peace building and the need to work closely to that end.
In the meantime, IRA leaders today held discussions with @MikeHammerUSA and Ambassador Ervin Masinga of @USEmbassyAddis in Addis Ababa on a range of issues including on the major challenges in the implementation of the Pretoria Agreement & the way forward. Both sides underscored the need to review the progress so far with a view to expeditiously addressing lingering challenges.

According to this map, Welkayt and raya is #tigray territory,

In #Ethiopia This map clearly indicates that Wolkayt, Kafta Humra, Tsegede and Raya are part of Tigray not only because of the people and the language but also historically they are part of Tigray,

According to a study of historical cartography in the Horn of Africa, from 18th to 20th centuries clearly shows that the present map of Tigray (wolkayt, waldiba, Raya, shire, Tsegede, Tselemti, Temben, Agame, Enderta, Axume, Adwa etc) and also the Eritrean Highlands (Baharengash), Lasta, Sokota, Limalimo Metema, Kobo, Gobie and part of Afar were part of Tigray.

The study clearly indicates that Tigray had a much much larger territory than Amhara or the present-day Tigray.
