Unlike tiktok, that app is created and curated by the government of China.

It is ironic that the government trying to stop data being stolen by China led to them banning tiktok and then millions of people switching to Rednote, which is the app that actually does the thing Congress feared about tiktok.

Its also indicative of the common occurance where government creates problems with their so called solutions.
