“For what makes a distinction between you and someone else? And what do you have that grace has not given you? And if you received it as a gift, why do you boast as though there is something special about you?”
1 Corinthians 4:7

I think this is a good day to accept this is right for now. Gonna put my whole heart into it instead of constantly questioning it. Gonna let my self-doubt be swallowed up in that of which I have no doubt: my God is faithful. My God is sovereign. My God knows me. My God chose me.
Talking to myself this AM. I just think maybe God gets sick of us compulsively asking Him, Is this right? Am I in the right place? Did I misunderstand this? Did I do/say that right? He’s so patient but I’m thinking our unrelieved nervousness finally starts getting on His nerves.
For the love of God, accept where He has you. How many confirmations does it take? You’re expending needed energy craving certainty. Is He not sovereign? Can He not see? Compulsive self-doubt isn’t humility. Your reluctance is undermining your effectiveness. Just serve already.
A gospel’s spreading alright. The gospel of the disgruntled. Talk about oxymoronic. Good news spreads thru glad people. Our job’s to share Jesus. Not sheriff for Jesus. These constant citizen’s arrests are more about flashing their lights than anything.Quit pulling over for them.
Learn your people’s love language. Your significant other, family, friends, etc. Whether that’s words, gifts, time—love them well.
Acting/speaking bc we believe we’re right at the expense of loving people is not love. Let’s be slow to speak and quick to listen.

"I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”
Isaiah 43:25
“For my own sake.” (😭)
He simply longs for our return. It is not about merit, but the direction of our hearts. He is jealous for me!
"For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control."
2 Timothy 1:7.
Power without love is tyranny.
Love without power is sentimentality.
Love and power without self-control breed hypocrisy.
Power, love, self-control. These we need. These we have.
Scripture warned us this would be a bloody battlefield in a war between light & darkness. Instead of suiting up, we're all sitting in the commentators' box like this is a game, giving our opinions on plays, trashing the handful of players on the court for their poor performance.
A few things I’ve learned over the past 5 years and some encouragement for those of you about to graduate high school/in college!
