Does anybody else wonder if this might be a weapon-enhanced earthquake targeting Russia? We know the U.S. possesses weapons that can initiate quakes where fault lines are already on a threshold, but this is such a powerful quake (8.7 reportedly) that a weapon initiation might be outside the realm of what's possible with current military technology. Still, we should consider the possibility, as Trump and Sen. Flimsy Graham have been repeatedly threatening Russia recently. But if the U.S. plays games like this, Russia has its own secret weapons, too. A very dangerous escalation path if this was artificially induced in any way. Most geologists, however, would say this quake is a "natural" event. What do you think?
