Fun lore fact: Feng Jisheng, or Big Feng in the Hidden Mountain story is the same person you meet when you first play Where Winds Meet, who teaches you how to use the bow.

The reason he's the one to teach you archery is because Feng Jisheng is a real historical figure! He was an engineer during the Song dynasty, who invented rocket propelled fire arrows, and his prototypes set off the domino effect for the invention of rockets and firearms.
