Enjoy the genre, discuss and acknowledge its flaws. At the end of the day, it's all meant to be over the top fun, so have fun with it. But acting like you're morally superior for liking the same text in a different font is obnoxious.
People will complain about Terrifier being misogynistic and have a Jason pfp.
Slasher films as a whole tend to follow controversial cliches out of love for the genre, intentional or not. I still love the genre, but sanctimony is always at an all-time high when this happens ++
of having meaningful discussions about them. I’ll always give Terrifier credit for actually improving on these criticisms in the third film, but no one ever seems to want to acknowledge improvement either.
