How anyone could villainize him is beyond me. He doesn’t want to see more innocent lives being killed by Israel. It takes so much courage to do what he did and he’s doing it for his family. That’s a real man and I hope he knows how many people support him.

This was Palestine’s first ever flag bearer at the Olympics, Majed Abu Maraheel, in Atlanta ‘96. Abu Maraheel was killed in Gaza last month. Unable to receive adequate care at Gaza’s destroyed hospitals, he died of kidney failure.
