@sarahwebster474 My school has individual Chromebooks - they use them for research, presentations, Kahoot! etc. Sadly the internet connection lets us down sometimes - frustrating. But now we have parents complaining about too much technology and want their kids writing with pen and paper more!
@hazelyjlee@AidennEvansMimi I have been thinking this too. I have watched a couple of others teaching, especially the ones with high scores to try and see if I can pick up a few tips - but you're right, there is just not enough time!
@ElanaMolier I totally agree. Teachers should model the kind of behaviour they expect from their students. Sadly, my experience is that not all teachers are like this. It’s hard as a parent to see your child being treated unfairly (and I have experienced this)
@MeganTh19911805 I totally agree but speaking as a working mum of 4 it is often really hard to offer that level of support. I see other kids suffering at school because so much is expected of parents where we live and many are incapable of offering that support for a variety of reasons #tncohort
@AidennEvansMimi Absolutely! I am one of the few in our cohort is totally new to the classroom - it is impossible to be in a classroom where I live without valid certification, so I was shocked at how many others had been teaching for years! I have learned so much!
@AidennEvansMimi Soooo tired! Wishing we didn’t still have module 3 to go & that I had already sat the praxis exams and done all of the paperwork.....I need to get me some sticky tape!
@Qingdaomon1@AidennEvansMimi I have really enjoyed the case studies too. It’s made me think about researching some of my other students too in the hope that I will be able to help them more
@AidennEvansMimi Teaching. I am a complete newbie and Module 8 finally got me in a classroom - and I love it! Although it is not easy when you are not fully in charge of what you teach or how you teach it - that is something that is frustrating me at the moment!
@shrty3572 Definitely kids should be taking more responsibility for their learning as they get older. I have recently been discussing this exact issue with my 13-year old, who is currently quite lazy and it really frustrates me! But what about the kids whose parents can't support them?
