@Eurostar Thanks, I'll mention to them. I did say in my original post that I'm bearing in mind the stability of a GSM connection, and that's not the issue here ☺️
@Eurostar where is the best place to report seat power not working, and train WiFi totally unusable (and I am bearing in mind it's a 4G service but this isn't even patchy, it's non-existent)
@Eurostar it's only 08:10 and all the others are ok but this departure board at St. Pancras would be better placed in the TARDIS. Not a complaint, just a prod to get someone to change the time zone on that PC! Just had a mild panic!
@Eurostar 2/2 which suggests the intent for that set to depart at some point. None of this explains the "Agents Douane" who seemed in quite a hurry to get to the train! I will add that the announcements in the departure area are barely audible in French and inaudible in English. Comments?
@Eurostar the information on this board about being "on time" is clearly no longer correct - apparently there is a "technical issue" however it has not escaped the attention of some passengers that several Customs officers went down to the train a short while ago. Update please?
@Eurostar 1/2 The driver has filled us in, that we are now on the 9059, which is accommodating both sets of passengers. He seemed to have the information before the displays in the departure area, the displays now indicate the 19:58 departure (9059) bizarrely being on platform 4... cont'd.
@dharford79 2/2 with that in mind it's no surprise really that in recent years more people are doing it, as more motorways get converted to ALR. In this instance, let's also bear in mind the sign on the left indicating the potential for joining traffic ahead. Again, safest place to be.
@dharford79 1/2 Unpopular opinion: with the prevalence of so-called (not so) "smart motorways" with all-lane-running (ALR), given that the road is empty and there appears to be poor visibility, the driver is in absolutely the right place. Safest for them and any stopped vehicles ahead.
@StuartHarker1 If you mean as the Hermes Admin /other role / etc., then yes - if not then I am curious what you do mean and what your approach might look like! Happy to talk through it
A full evening at Middx Masters Harrow tonight - a delight to see @knige installed as master of this prestigious lodge. Great ceremony and festive board. Congrats to all those who took part and were invested.
