This rogue conduct by an alleged abduction police unit directly mirrors the systemic lawlessness that the Police Reforms Taskforce I chaired sought to dismantle.

As highlighted in the report I released to the public on 31 August, these illegal killer squads and clandestine units must be dismantled immediately.

The commanders of these illegal operations must be held individually accountable for these crimes.

Citizen TV has revealed that a shadowy police unit within the DCI was allegedly involved in the abduction of Standard Group editor Alex Kiprotich.

The unit, known as the Operations Support Unit (OSU), is reported to be operating without the law and targeting government critics.
