The battle for 2026 is a battle between two RCs.
On one side is the BJP’s RC. Their REMOTE CONTROL to halt Bengal’s rightful funds, disenfranchise legitimate voters through SIR, sow seeds of chaos and communal disharmony, misuse Central Agencies, Central Forces, and democratic institutions, label Bengalis as “Rohingya” and “Bangladeshi” while tormenting innocent migrant workers, repeatedly insult our culture, our icons, our food habits, and our long-held customs. Their Remote Control blares loudspeakers to amplify lies, but goes completely mute when Bengal’s sovereignty and interests are threatened.
On the other side is Trinamool Congress’s RC. Our REPORT CARD. Fifteen glorious years of Unnayon without any help from the Centre. A Report Card of work done, promises kept, dreams realised, and lives transformed. Janasabha covering Jalangi and Domkal in support of Babar Ali and Humayun Kabir (Ex-IPS), the powerful roadshow covering Harishchandrapur and Chanchal for Md. Matebur Rahman and Prasun Banerjee, and the janasabha in Siliguri for Goutam Deb have put the writing clearly on the wall.
The Remote Control is finished in this land. The Delhi Zamindars can keep pressing buttons from afar. But Bengal will decide its future, with pride, with resolve, and with the Joraphool.
BJP wants to bring their Talibani mindset to Bengal. The "Poriborton" they promise is REGRESSION OF THE DARKEST KIND. A Bengal where women receiving Lakshmir Bhandar are caged inside their homes. Where people's houses are razed by bulldozers. Where frenzied mobs run riot, destroying everything in their path. Where there are bans on what people eat, what they wear, who they love, and which faith they practise.
I see no difference between those who vandalised Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's bust and those who vandalised Buddha statues in Afghanistan. The contempt is identical. Only the geography has changed. So fierce is BJP's hatred for Bengal that they seek to bow this land into subjugation through TYRANNY, COERCION, INTIMIDATION, and HUMILIATION.
But they do not know Bengal. Bengal is a free land. A proud land. A land that would embrace the gallows before it polishes the boots of oppressors. The Bangla-birodhi Zamindars will learn that the hard way. This election will be their lesson.
Solemnly remembering the Father of the Constitution of India, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, on his birth anniversary.
It is our pride that it was the Bengal Legislature that paved the way for Babasaheb’s entry into the Constituent Assembly, where his visionary leadership shaped our nation's future.
Today, his legacy is more relevant than ever. As we stand at crossroads where the fundamental values of our democracy—secularism, federalism, and social justice—require constant vigil, his life’s work remains our ultimate guiding light.
His vision drives our commitment to an inclusive society where every citizen, regardless of caste or creed, can live with dignity and hope.
We will not allow the rights of our people to be undermined. Nor will we allow the federal structure and the plural and secular fabric of our nation to be weakened.
On this auspicious day, let us rededicate ourselves to protecting the democratic soul of India.
Addressing the press, Shri Kunal Ghosh strongly criticised the BJP’s leadership for its disproportionate focus on Bengal’s elections, with leaders from across the country making repeated visits.
He pointed out the clear contradiction. While there is no shortage of political attention when it comes to campaigning, there is complete silence on Bengal’s rightful dues. Taking a dig at the busy Prime Minister’s recent remark about being a candidate across all constituencies, he said such statements only reflect growing political anxiety.
If such claims are to be taken seriously, then they should come with accountability, not as election rhetoric. The reality, he stated, is simple, the more the BJP senses defeat, the louder the claims become.
As far as the eye can see, just a sea of people.
This is the strength of Bengal’s Maa-Mati-Manush.
Hooghly stands ready to uproot Bangla Birodhi BJP from Bengal.

With the people as my strength and democracy as my path, I stepped forward today to file my nomination.
Everything I have worked for has always been centred around the well-being of my people. It is their trust, their affection, and their support that continues to guide this journey to protect Bengal’s progress and to stand firm against the Bangla-Birodhi forces that seek to take it backwards.
The love and blessings I received today were a powerful reminder of what we stand for; a Bengal that chooses unity, dignity, and development. In Bengal, every caste, every creed, every religion stands equal and that is our biggest strength and our identity. And today, this is a fight for democracy, for your identity, for your home, and for your rights, a fight we must win together.
I urge every citizen of Bengal to support our Trinamool Congress candidates across the state and strengthen this collective resolve for continued progress.

Today, I am deeply moved by the love, warmth, and outpouring of support from the people of Chandrakona, Garbeta, and Bishnupur. This genuine trust, this faith, is what drives everything we do. And it is what will secure our victory in the days ahead. Through the initiatives of our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, we have worked steadily toward a Swanirbhor Bangla, where every family moves forward, and no one is left behind.
But Bangla-Birodhi forces from Delhi are working to disrupt what we have built. This authoritarian party seeks to capture Bengal through division, through unrest, and through the deprivation of people's fundamental rights. By exploiting religion, BJP tries to drive wedges between communities that have lived together in harmony for generations. The people of Bengal see through it. They will respond, as they always have, through democratic means.
Those who distort Bengal's rich culture, heritage, and history, those who attempt to suppress the rights of ordinary citizens in the name of electoral processes, do not deserve a single vote. I urge the people of Chandrakona, Garbeta, and Bishnupur to stand firm, reject propaganda, and vote with full strength for our candidates, Shri Surjya Kanta Doloi, Uttara Singha (Hazra), and Tanmoy Ghosh.
Together, let us protect Bengal's identity, uphold its dignity, and ensure that the momentum of development continues, uninterrupted.
Purba Bardhaman and Nadia have delivered their answer today. Those who seek to defile this sacred land will be uprooted. The people stand firmly on the side of development, and they will deliver a fitting reply to every slander, every conspiracy, every act of sabotage orchestrated by outsiders.
After their humiliating defeat in 2021, they retaliated not with political vendetta, unlawfully withholding funds under MGNREGA, Awas Yojana, Gram Sadak Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and other entitlements that are the rightful due of the people of Bengal. And now, they dare to threaten the discontinuation of Lakshmir Bhandar. So long as the Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar stands, Lakshmir Bhandar will not be touched. Not today. Not ever.
I appeal to every voter across Purba Bardhaman and Nadia to cast their vote for the Joraphool and ensure a resounding victory for our Maa-Mati-Manush candidates, Rukbanur Rahman from Palashipara, Alifa Ahmed from Kaliganj, Kallol Kha from Nakashipara, Braja Kishore Goswami from Santipur, Pundarikakshya Saha from Nabadwip, Swapan Debnath from Purbasthali Dakshin, and Vasundhara Goswami from Purbasthali Uttar.
In every corner, in every gathering, you can see the people coming together in numbers that speak for themselves. This is what belief looks like when it becomes visible.
By standing with Shri Ujjal Chatterjee, Suri is strengthening Maa-Mati-Manush and sending out a message that cannot be ignored.
