i love when you’re at a concert out of town bc no one comes to your city and they say the name of the city you’re in and you just have to cheer like yes woohoo i love columbus ohio
One thing I’ve noticed about highly successful people is that they always do what they say they’ll do.
If they tell you, “I’m going to send you a list of the 20 best restaurants in NYC tomorrow,” they do.
When you text them, unless they’re in a meeting, they’re responsive. This is why they always say to give projects to a busy person. They get things done.
They don’t flake. They’re true to their word.
I’ve noticed that this generation laments the loss of house parties and social events, yet people flake five minutes beforehand because they’d rather Netflix and chill or whatever.
We live in a generation of flakes.
I was recently with an esthetician who modeled in the early ’90s. She was older, but still gorgeous. She told me that when her agent said where to meet, she got on a train and showed up because you couldn’t just text and cancel.
People were true to their word. And the people who still live that way today tend to be the most successful. It’s never been easier to stand out.
i thought it was really cold in my apartment but then management sent an email saying hey we know what you're thinking but it's actually not that cold in your apartment
