@aquafoxe16 @staylorHistory Do you think the community is Los Alamos is fairly built? Or do you think the locals are being pushed out and forced to live in the environmentally destroyed areas of the valley?
@aquafoxe16 @staylorHistory The long term effects of the bomb are majorly understated! I wonder if they would have tested the same way had they known the full effects of nuclear warfare when used on land
@aquafoxe16 @staylorHistory Doing anything to conserve water in this area is so important! It is amazing to me that much of the water for the area and for the Rio Grande is not even local anymore!
@aquafoxe16 @staylorHistory That is a huge plus! However, do you think that educational opportunity is fair for everyone considering the huge socioeconomical divide in that area due to LANL? The huge wage gap and environmental issues there make the area very complicated
@aquafoxe16 @staylorHistory Do you think we could assume the protests came as Chavez was leading many in New Mexico away from the Republican politics of that time?
@cindyorama5 I loved learning this, I would have had no idea. It is amazing that it took so long for New Mexico to be recognized as a valuable state, even after so many diverse groups helped in many battles over the years.
@aquafoxe16 @staylorHistory The great depression was a challenging time for everyone, but in times of despair we are usually able to bounce back with new ideas to avoid similar mistakes. Thats the hope at least
@aquafoxe16 @staylorHistory Isn't it amazing how art is always so healing in times of crisis? I think we are all being reminded of that during this pandemic as well.
