to the girl watching her friends get engaged, married, pregnant, buy a new home, land a career, post cute relationship pictures, and is feeling like you went wrong somewhere along the way: stop. their season is not your season. God has not forsaken you. comparison crushes joy.
something i learned in this last season of my life: if your trauma is too much for someone to handle & give grace for, they don’t need to be a part of your life.
wait for the man who protects you, honors you, and pushes you towards God. wait for the man that pursues you after he has you, loves his hardest at your weakest, and never leads you astray. because when looks fade and life gets tough, Christ-centered relationships remain strong.
Before I believed, I had Christian friends betray me, pastors who left me, depression & anxiety that chained me, bitterness & anger towards everyone, I tried ending my life, but God loved me too much, so He saved me instead. When nobody else was good, including myself, He was.
I am so undeserving of God’s love. I fought so long trying to be enough, but was left defeated and depressed each time. I am not enough. I cannot save myself. I need Jesus, desperately and daily. Without Him, I would not be here. But I am here because He loved me. Jesus saved me!
Anyone who’s against raising the minimum wage to $15 has obviously never had to work at a minimum wage job, spend two weeks working 40 hours a week and receive your paycheck and tell me you feel like the money reflects how hard you worked; you can’t.
