It was all worth it….

[Hank Green @hankgreen]

Just…you. It’s never one thing. First they might get a little better at reproducing, then a little better at evading the immune system, then a little worse at self-destructing.

They might have started out extra good at one of those things (genetic predisposition) or mutated into it (environmental factors, like sunlight, or just a bad copy job.)

This is very accurate

Dr: Almost no one knows for sure why they got cancer.

Me: I do.

Dr: 🫤

Me: The same principle that guides all life! If something can make more of itself there will be more of it. It’s evolution by natural selection, but for individual cells rather than the organism.

@CaraGrewell I get that. Too hot and annoying

[Wewisqlexw @wewisqlexw]

This breaks my heart. 💔 No one should be treated like this at work. So many rights being violated before our eyes. If they can treat an elected representative like this no one is safe. Sending love to @ZoAndBehold. Your strength is admirable.

Dude no one contact me for a week after this drops

The sad part is that my graduation ceremony is that day

To protect MT’s waters from these aquatic invaders, remember to clean-drain-dry your gear after every use, and don’t release aquarium plants or pets into the wild. 🔗https://t.co/cX03mYcEE4

Absolutely a disgrace done by @LeeEntNews to say the least. All the comments on the original thread capture what a loss this is for local and state wide news and what a wonderful journalist. It is an absolute shame, but I know her followers are ready to go wherever she goes.

This is why i love there lab.

[Hebblewhite Lab @HebblewhiteLab]

@amgarcia4 Our Wildlife Biology program @umontana dropped requiring the GRE for grad school. It is a socio-economically, culturally & gender biased test. Also un-predictive of how well you do in grad school. Only take it if a graduate advisor and school you want to work with requires it.?

A very cool thread about mountain lion maternal care and cute pictures always help

[Kristin Engebretsen, PhD @KN_Engebretsen]

"I will survive!"

(1/6) Cougar mothers provide extensive maternal care for their kittens for up to 2 years, and they must trade-off between providing protection and care to neonates vs. leaving them unattended at a den site while hunting for the family. #AnimBehav2023

@OKWildlifeDept And we would like to talk to whomever keeps stealing our cougar sighting signs and putting them up at local bars.
