Bus route calculations next update will be 8x FASTER!! I’m so glad I invested time to make it faster. It has made to app so much better. Switched from MongoDB to SQLite, GTFS needs many tables to relate to eachother. Sql makes relating tables so much faster. Need to test again.
Apollo will close down on June 30th. Reddit’s recent decisions and actions have unfortunately made it impossible for Apollo to continue. Thank you so, so much for all the support over the years. ❤️ https://t.co/HOJaLMW8fx
One Bus servers are currently being updated in preparation for version 1.3. Sorry for the inconvenience, it will be down for another day. Version 1.3 brings a lot of huge improvements that I can’t wait to share! A lot of the backend has been rewritten. More info soon.

This was a lot of work, had to change the entire backend to manage the GTFS format. Had to create a nodejs server to allow api requests, so users don’t download the entire route database. Need to do more testing to see how the server handles traffic using the cheapest server.
In One Bus’ new update, it will use Metlink’s new api which uses the GTFS format. This makes data more up to date, reliable, more bus options shown, better path display and cancellation status is also displayed now! All route calculations are now done on my server. Testing atm.
@ThrownToys It’s honestly so frustrating. I spent a long time last week trying to find a workaround just to get the scroll view from not behaving weirdly (a common SwiftUI bug). onAppear/onDisappear should be reliable before anything else.
No longer will you need to guess which bus to get on, with One Bus you will know exactly what bus you need. Available in #Wellington#NZ download today: https://t.co/C1fzQkPBjy
