As we prepare to hear the final verdict in Ratko Mladic’s appeal, we want to highlight the survivors of the genocide today. From the brave mothers of Srebrenica to child survivors to concentration camp survivors; each of them is at the forefront of the work we do. They matter.
Today marks #WhiteArmBandDay, a day of remembrance for those dark days when Serb forces declared order through the local radio stations ordering the non-Serb population to mark their houses with white flags and to put a white armband around their sleeve when leaving their home.
