The 2nd Halifax South Guides using their voice in making a Passion Web! Many chose issues on the Environment when asked "what's important to you?" 🌳🌄♻️

The centre was closed and the only visitors were us and a small group of guides from Dartmouth. The sparks loved having the children’s play area all to themselves!

The 1st Halifax South Sparks had their first outing of the year at the Discovery Centre. We learned about the stars and planets in the Dome Theatre then had free reign to play and learn.

They talked about issues ranging from climate change, the size of the federal debt, to access to clean drinking water in Mi'kmaw communities. After his visit we did an Elections Canada activity on the history of voting rights in Canada.

3rd Halifax South Pathfinders are getting ready for the upcoming election. We invited all the local candidates to attend our meeting last night and were thrilled to have Andy Fillmore, our current MP accept. He explained what an MP does, and then answered a range of questions!
