I crossed that Bread and beans phase this year. Bread 300, beans 300, 2 meat 1k everyday.
Until Tech changed my life.
I made my first million naira less than two years ago. Before then, life was mostly about surviving. Every purchase needed calculation. Going out felt like a luxury. There were places I only saw on TikTok and Instagram because I never imagined I'd actually sit there one day.
Earlier this year, I went to Ikoyi for the first time. I decided to enter one of those classy restaurants with plenty expatriate people and people looking like they were closing million-dollar deals.😭
I ordered one snack I've always seen people eating online. I later found out it was a croissant. Funny enough, I thought it was just one fancy meat pie. 😭 It wasn't until I got home and sent the picture to my friend that she said, "You know that's a croissant, right?" I just laughed. So apparently, I had my first croissant this year without even knowing it.
Then I ordered that green drink. That agbo-looking drink they call matcha. I had never tasted it before, but I kept seeing influencers drinking it, so I said today na today.
I saw the price and I just hissed.
Likeeeee... I can actually afford this? 😭😭
I laughed, brought out my ATM card and paid.
Na there e just hit me say... I actually guide small.
😂😂
By the way, let me not lie to anybody. That matcha na agbo. Real agbo. Just agbo wey dem package well, add small vanilla and give am fine English name. 😭
After that, I ordered Uber Comfort, entered the car, AC dey blow me, music dey my ear, and I just sat there smiling.
I kept thinking, "So this is the life people with steady income have been enjoying all this while."
I love it here.

A woman sitting in front of me in church today could not control her son.
The boy was standing. Shouting. Disturbing the entire program.
She beat him. Twisted his ear.
Nothing worked.
Then the father walked in.
The moment that boy spotted his father from across the church he sat down immediately. Adjusted himself. Straightened up.
Quiet for the rest of the program.
The mother finally brought out her notepad and started jotting.
She looked so relieved.
I sat there watching all of this.
Never underestimate the presence of a father in a child's life.
Nobody said a word to that boy.
His father just walked in.
I’ve been quiet… not absent.
I was building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing of my life.
God gave me more than I prayed for
a woman who became a mother of three, and three kings to call my own 👑👑👑
My world. My responsibility. My legacy.
Alhamdulilah! ✨
Some people are saying that it was a planned kidnapped by close friends,
I can't say if is a lie or true,
Sometimes I want to believe it too because after his first kidnapped,
When he was released, the same people came back for him again after 2weeks but this time he escaped ,
That was when he ran out his village, since then he has not been to his village, before they came for his elder brother after some yrs ,
I thank God for his life, may the soul of my brother-inlaw rest in peace
Thanks everyone for your supports,
Oga don conclude say, he is traveling back to continue his mini restaurants there, we're so grateful,
Nigerians has weeped my tears of many years, thanks so much guys,
God bless you all 🙏🙏
My husband still regrets coming back to Nigeria 2019 to visit his family,
He was kidnapped that same year, was later released after paying huge amount of ransom which affected his traveling back ,
When we think, things are getting better again for him to go back,
His elder brother was kidnapped, ransom was demanded ,
Hubby sold all his resources and assets just for his released because his four kids was still very young and the wife,
But even after the ransom was paid, he was still killed, no body to retrieve,
At the same time, hubby lost everything to them, and was also in so much debit which has been cleared by God's grace
Instead of staying without anything, he decided to borrowed little money and get second hand Keke which he is managing now but has been in a bad shape since last week
So to the f@@l that was calling me an Igbo beggar just because I committed on a giveaway, may Nigeria happen to u too
This was my husband before Nigeria happened to him and now 🙏🙏🙏
Two days ago, I drove into town after work, parked my car and went inside the complex. About 45 minutes later, I returned to find my car sparkling clean, with water still on the ground. Someone had washed it.
As I admired it, a young boy walked up to me, bowed, and said, "Sir, I washed it. It’s free, but I would appreciate anything you can give."
I was moved. I gave him 2,000 naira. The joy on his face was incredible. He nearly lay flat on the ground to thank me.
I called him back and asked why he was doing this kind of work. He said he had finished secondary school, had no interest in university, and wanted to learn welding to become a professional. He was saving up for it.
I saw zeal and honesty in his eyes. He told me his parents had four children and shared them among different relatives. He ended up with an uncle who cared little about him.
After a long conversation, we exchanged contacts and I promised to get back to him. Today, I took him to register with a good welder I know.
Since the place is far from his area, I will cover his daily lunch and transportation. He will learn four days a week and use the remaining three days to rest, sort himself out, and help his uncle.
I also spoke with his parents, who were very grateful.
He starts tomorrow. I am glad I could take one child off the street.
Above all, love God.
Many people might not believe this but...
In 2023, I was packed into a police Danfo during a random raid in Jos, Plateau state. I was trekking for an all night session in school. They drove us to the station, seized our phones, and told everyone to sit on the bare floor behind the counter. The IPO in his faded uniform brought out rumpled sheets of paper and shouted ''Criminals remove your shoes make una write una statement for here''
I tried to look at the guys beside me who were sweating and writing things like "I am just walking and police catch me abeg I am a student." Another guy with a torn shirt was writing, "I swear to God I am not a cultist, I only went to buy indomie and egg, my mother is a widow." One particular guy was literally dropping tears on his paper, writing, "I don't smoke loud, I have CHM 101 test tomorrow morning, please have mercy in Jesus name."
I knew my family did not have 50k for any emergency bail. So I sat on that cold floor, balanced the paper on my knee, and activated the ''Femi Falana'' in me (small HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MUDER was giving me confidence).
I did not write a plea o. I wrote a chronological, legally terrifying timeline of my abduction. I used phrases like "unlawful detainment," "absence of probable cause," and "infringement of fundamental liberties." I made sure my handwriting was looking like a typed font🤲🏾
Thirty minutes later, the DPO walked in to inspect the night's harvest. He was biting the edge of a pure water sachet when he started reading the statements one by one, tossing them aside. Then he picked up my paper. He read the first paragraph, stopped, and looked at the crowd on the floor. He read it again.
I was already preparing my mind for Cell One, the one with Mosquitoes that trained in Afghanistan. I was entirely convinced my grammar had angered him.
The DPO looked at the IPO and said, "Who write this thing?" The IPO pointed at me. The DPO told me to stand up and follow him to his office. At that point, I wished I wrote my statement in Hausa😭
I entered the room, sweating like cold water. He sat down, dropped the paper on his desk, and said, "So, you sabi write English like this and you dey waka late night?"
He opened his drawer and brought out a massive stack of dirty files. He complained that the station's secretary had been sick for three days and they had a massive backlog of official reports to send to the Area Commander.
I did not enter the cell that night. I sat in a perfectly air-conditioned office from 11 PM to 4 AM, actively ghostwriting police reports, restructuring suspect confessions, and formatting legal petitions for the Nigerian Police Force. By 5 AM, the DPO gave me 15k cash for a job well done, bought me a plate of white rice, and ordered the patrol van to drive me safely to my hostel with full escorts.
If you are currently smiling at this beautiful grass-to-grace story, I want you to know that you just read several heavy paragraphs of pure, undiluted fiction. I have never been arrested in my life. I am currently on my bed eating bread and egg. But like the original tweet said, proper articulation solves 75% of your problems. The remaining 25% is knowing how to lie fluently to farm engagement on this app. Happy Sunday.
This is basically like running a dispatch business 🤣🤣
I had 10 bikes and a bus, my husband had an extra 5 bikes as well.
One day, I sold everything and kept just the bus.
A few weeks ago, I even dashed my husband the bus, I cannot come and run mad 🤣
I saw fire and brimstone 😭🔥
@Omo_0ba@SimisolaTomori I can totally relate with your story. The only way i was able to recoup my capital and profit was because the bike i got was put in someone's care. All i did was get the bike and gave it to the "caretaker" He was the one that gave it to the rider and monitored the payment delivry
One thing I’ve learnt in marriage is this: when it comes to women, love languages are a big deal 😅
And guess what? It’s not like it changes… it adds up 😭 so as a man, you just have to adjust and keep upgrading yourself.
Back in 2021/2022 when I was dating and courting Mummy Dabz, she told me her love language was words of affirmation. That’s how the name “my Ijaw woman” was born. I coined it specially for her, and it stuck till today.
Fast forward to 2023/2024 after we got married… update don enter 😭….now it’s receiving gifts and physical touch added to the list. Before I knew what was happening, I turned to a monthly gift supplier 😂
Now 2025/2026, we’re parents… another update again 🥲…..acts of service and quality time have joined the squad.
That acts of service ehn… I don tire 😩 because the way I dey help now, na like personal assistant to Mama Dabz 😭
And if you think the old ones will fade away… my brother, na lie! All the previous love languages are still active and working perfectly 😭
Las las, I’ve come to realize: with women, love languages don’t change… they just keep updating like an app 😂
God bless all amazing wives doing life with us 🙏
And to those married, about to marry, or choosing single life…..God bless you all ❤️
think of a man like someone carrying a jerrycan of fuel. Ejaculation is when he pours the fuel out fully, obvious, plenty, and powerful. But pre-cum? That’s like when the jerrycan is leaking small-small as he’s walking. You may not see a full pour, but drops are still escaping.
So, pre-cum is like that small leak from a fuel can, it may not flood the ground, but it can still start a fire if the conditions are right.
Create a fire picture of yourself. I will love to see the best❤️🔥
