In many cities, crime is not “down”. Crime *reporting* is down.
The whole “crime decline” story is built on a fiction, because official crime stats never measure crime itself. They measure *recorded* crime, which is increasingly a proxy for civic trust, police capacity, prosecutorial will, and the state’s willingness to classify reality honestly.
And thus, the official crime stats get squeezed from both ends:
1) Victims just stop calling the police when they know nothing will happen.
2) Police departments reclassify what does get reported into lesser crimes and charges that never reach the headline stats.
Residents understand this perfectly. They read the “lived city experience” every day and are forced to adjust their entire lives around it: where they go, when they leave, what they wear, what they lock, what they avoid, how much risk they absorb.
In LA, residents have imported the classic San Francisco ritual: if they lock their car, they assume a break-in is coming. Calling the cops is pointless. So they now leave the doors unlocked, windows down, even the back hatch open as a signal to crooks there's nothing worth stealing.
That is what "crime is down" looks like after reporting collapses. The official numbers "improve" because people stop bothering to even report crime, because they know nothing will happen, and the people are forced to reorganize their entire day-to-day lives around open, pervasive criminal impunity.
In DC, the police were just caught blatantly cooking the books. Felonies were being buried as lesser charges in order to keep them out of the public count. More than a dozen officials are being fired.
Which raises the obvious question: how many other cities are doing the same thing?
This is the same principle as when Soviet factory managers were graded based on tonnage of chandeliers they produced, as a result of which they optimized for the heaviest chandeliers they could manufacture. It's just Goodhart's Law: when the target becomes the measure, it ceases to be a good measure.
White people are less prone to this because we understand that the purpose of a spelling bee is a bit of fun to see who's the most well-read. We lack the inclination to spend ten hours a day grinding with flash cards just to beat a spelling bee. Same with science fairs, we do them for fun, and it's assumed the winners will be the smart kids who really enjoy doing experimentation and research.
Asian strivers don't understand this at all. They just see "status", and chase it by optimizing for the measure. Result being that they outcompete the white kids, because on paper they look like geniuses. But it's all hollow.
It’s also worth noting that they were extremely well fed compared to the general population during this time period, so their complaints about the “conditions” of the plantations are completely unfounded.
Schrodinger's Jew actually has a carve out in US housing law. Your private housing assoc. cannot discriminate against Jews because they are a race. Their private housing assoc. can discriminate against you because they are a religion.
@TheGiggles92@N1archv 1) Insulting someone isn't "escalation".
2) The person being attacked should almost always get the benefit of the doubt in these kinds of scenarios, since they don't have the time to calculate anything or think rationally.
The @ChudTheBuilder shooting seems tailor-made for national attention. Here are some of my beliefs:
- the Magic Word is a loadbearing pillar of the civil rights era and gay race communism
- we will never be free as long as there is a special word that gives blacks social and even legal permission to violently attack Whites
- nobody actually cares about the word. The magic is jealously protected as a means of disempowering, humiliating, and controlling White people. It is a cynical power tool which only works because we allow it
- gay race communism has to be fought on every front. We can’t allow them any untouchable shrines into which to retreat when needed
You can question Dalton‘s methods, his motives, and his personal life, but if you question his courage then I’d like to know what it is that you are doing to give you such standing
When someone is courageously risking his life to fight an important and thankless battle, I’m not about to countersignal him and I don’t think you should either. You don’t have to openly support him. But if you feel compelled to trash him, I don’t think we’re on the same side
Stop ceding them the Magic Word. Don’t be a mindraped slave. Nigger nigger nigger. I wish Dalton the best. Anyone who supports trying to hurt him belongs in jail. There can be no magic words
I think a sizable part of the decline of school shootings is similar to a big part of why serial killing declined:
It's just not cool anymore.
The 'cool' type of killing these days might be the assassination.
Generally, when right-wingers don't like democracy or liberalism, they will say "democracy and liberalism are bad." When left-wingers don't, they just redefine 'democracy' and 'liberalism' to mean something completely different, and coordinate on lying about it. And this works!

The Tuskegee Airmen were, objectively, the worst fighter group in the entire US Army. They were flying P-51s, a highly advanced and superior long range fighter escort, they lost many bombers, and their combat records speak for itself. The Tuskegee Airmen were the original DEI.
