@Mirs_____ idrk, tbh. he was sticking strictly to wpath guidelines, mostly. argued anything else didn’t have the proof to back it up, even in the face of studies. so it was probably just being kind of arrogant and stuck in his ways, not rly either of those.
@Mirs_____ another reason i switched, or i guess more just a reason i chose not to stick with a prescribed regimen, is that my endo insisted he would not prescribe progesterone either.
@Mirs_____ they can’t prescribe injections because they aren’t produced here. some less stringent doctors can get them from compounding pharmacies but mine wasn’t that type. and yeah, his dosage goal was significantly below what i wanted to achieve and i had frankly grown tired of arguing.
@cimoputer4man@Monkey2Bubble@outhcrowfreak you did not bother to spend more than ten seconds to read what i wrote and took an actively hostile interpretation away from it, there’s no reason for me to be kind either.
also, you said some really stupid shit.
@cimoputer4man@Monkey2Bubble@outhcrowfreak omg are you illiterate? i said giving history and tradition any kind of authority is regressive. i made no comment on the actual labels.
and yea, any stance against bigotry will *also* exclude people. exclusion isn’t inherently bad.
@cimoputer4man@Monkey2Bubble@outhcrowfreak and? so have all kinda of unquestionably regressive traditions. besides, being queer is ancient, in the thousands of years of human history decades are meaningless.
@AneofArc this also excludes people that most would agree are women, individuals who developed ovaries and underwent estrogen-dominant puberty. there are a variety of conditions that produce non-XX cissexual women whose status your definition also denies.
@AneofArc i appreciate the simplicity of this definition, but it runs afoul of the exact same problems as the “purpose” definition, where it simply isn’t useful in most situations. what actually matters are without exception phenotypic traits. genetic sex is at most a good shorthand.
@L0veandM3th@cinnamonmaxxing short, quippy and wrong, a style of argument it’s impossible to “win”. you won’t change your mind because it’d be losing. i’m content knowing your understanding of sex is incoherent and basically religious.
@L0veandM3th@cinnamonmaxxing “they just are”. nothing makes them that sex, “they just are”. but also it’s super important and definitely real. laughable. what a definition.
@L0veandM3th@cinnamonmaxxing big words coming from someone disagreeing with the majority of biologists on what an individual’s sex is (an aggregate of physical traits on a two-peaked continuum)
@L0veandM3th@cinnamonmaxxing we are talking about sex as a trait of an individual, not a concept of knowledge. yea, it’s relevant to us all how we evolved. that doesn’t make an individual’s sex in any way relevant to understanding them.
