A few more pictures of Darmor Club. The golf pictures are of the “Road hole” and the one is looking back at the 16th “Cardinal.” Then a picture of the clubhouse from right of 18 fairway
Just a correction, the PGA magazine put me in there obituaries as having passed away January 19th!!! I didn’t and I’m alive and well just putting the finishing touches on Darmor Club before our opening June 1. Thanks to all who have checked up on me.😊
The lowest spot on Darmor Club in Columbus Tx. The 16 hole “cardinal” 630 yd par 5 downhill probably 25ft. We had 14” of rain the last 3 days and we did all right. It’s because it’s all sand. All the drainage and planning worked beautifully!!!
We lost the wisest man in golf yesterday, Jackie Burke, Jr. in my opinion. He was a mentor to many in the game of golf and the game of life. He was a mentor to me. He was never afraid of the truth and felt it led to growth. He loved competition and amateur golfers. RIP Jackie!!
Yesterday at Darmor Club in Columbus Tx. The first picture is from behind #3 green “Sahara” looking back at the fairway and the second picture is from the back porch of the lodge looking on to our 20,000 sq ft putting course. The best golf club in Texas coming this next year!!!
Merry Christmas to all the golfers and I hope you find a basket full of birdies under your tree. Remember, if you get on the right tee this year you will make more birdies and have more fun. When on the right tee, the objective is straight and solid not how long you hit it.
@couillard_tim Thanks Tim, that’s been my goal for Darmor Club for it to be a blessing to all that get to play it. It’s a tribute to everything that’s good in golf. Golf has been a blessing to me
The last hole was grassed yesterday at Darmor Club #4 “Punchbowl”
Par 5 that’s 560 yds from the tips. Coming this spring, a one of a kind for Texas. Also, I thought I would reveal our logo :) Merry Christmas everyone
