Recycling is important, but first think about what you buy 💭
Use things again and again, and if you don’t want them anymore, see if someone else does! 💚 You can save money and help save the planet too 🦸 #BuyNothingNew

✨ Why can’t glittery Christmas cards be recycled?
♻️ Glitter-covered cards can’t go through the recycling process.
✂️ But don’t worry! Tear the card in half!
Pop the plain side in your blue bin and save the glittery side to make gift tags for next year 🎁
♻️ What plastics can go in your blue bin or box?
🧼 Detergent, soap & cleaning product bottles
🚿 Shampoo, shower gel & skincare bottles
🥤 Soft drinks, water & milk bottles
🔧 Remember to remove pumps and dispose of them before recycling bottles.

🎄 Extra recycling this Christmas?
♻️ If you’ve got more recycling than usual, make the most of your recycling bin or box.
Extra glass & bottle shaped plastics, tins, cans and cardboard can be placed in a cardboard box on top of your blue bin for collection.
📦 Cardboard recycling reminder!
♻️ Keep hold of your cardboard packaging for recycling.
Flatten it into your blue bin for kerbside collection or take it to your Household Waste Recycling Centre.
🚫 Don’t forget to remove and dispose of any non-recyclable inner packaging.

Class 1 had a great time litter picking this afternoon for #recycleweek25 with Mike from @haltonwaste. We can’t wait to see what happens to all the litter when we visit the Recycling Centre on Thursday. 🗑
♻️ There’s plenty of items you can #recycle in Halton. During #RecycleWeek2025 we’ll be reminding you what items can be rescued from the rubbish and recycled.
