I hope for a safe future for my children, where they can simply live and dream.
Wherever life leads, supporting people and humanitarian work will remain part of my path.
If anyone has opportunities, ideas, or advice, I would be grateful to connect.
After nearly three years of war, loss, and displacement, I find myself thinking about what comes next.
In Gaza, I dedicated my time to supporting people, standing with families, and doing what I could to bring hope and dignity. It has been the hardest period of my life, but it also gave me meaning and purpose.
Good morning everyone.
Another very cold night in Gaza. I am lucky enough to have some kind of roof over my head, but hundreds of thousands do not. Families are suffering in tents, literally fighting the rain and the wind just to get through the night. Please keep them in your thoughts.
Does anyone in my network work at @LinkedIn or have a direct contact there? I’m dealing with an account issue that standard support hasn't been able to resolve and could really use some human assistance. Any leads or RTs would be hugely appreciated! 🤝

The rain is unforgiving.
Tents are flooding, the ground is mud, blankets are soaked, and families are trying to protect their children from the cold with almost nothing.
I see it every day. Winter in Gaza is not just weather, it is another layer of suffering for people already living without safety, shelter, or stability.
If you want to truly learn spoken Arabic, I partnered with Lingua Verna , an online Levantine Arabic school offering live, beginner friendly classes with native speakers.
A 3 month course, 2 hours per week, with flexible times for people in the US and Europe.
It is built for those who want to actually speak Arabic, not just recognize a few words.
Registration closes Dec 17.

Here, even a simple bowl of rice pudding matters.
A small comfort for children living in tents, with water seeping in and winter pressing harder every night.
Cooking for them is not just about food, it is about reminding them they are still seen, still deserving of warmth.
Today I made Om Ali for the children here. An Egyptian dish full of sweetness and comfort 🍯
I wish this simple plate could warm more than their stomachs. I hope it gives them a moment that feels gentle.
Life here is brutal now. Many families are displaced without proper shelter, food, or medicine as winter arrives and aid remains scarce.
Children are struggling with malnutrition. Many are living under rubble or in tents flooded by heavy rains. Thousands have lost their homes and their loved ones.
Sharing this meal felt like a small act of comfort in a place where everything is heavy. Sometimes all we can do is hold each other up, one warm dish at a time.
Amid all the days filled with worry and fear, a quiet miracle came to us in the midst of the storm little Maryam arrived, bringing light, health, and innocence into our lives. After everything Gaza has been through, having her here in our arms feels like a silent blessing that fills our hearts with peace.
Maryam is our second child after Nizar, who was born during the aggression on Gaza, and this pregnancy was filled with constant anxiety. Every sound, every night, every movement carried a fear that no parent should ever feel. But today, our hearts are calmer, for she is finally in our arms, and with her, our souls find rest.
Welcome to the world, Maryam. You arrived in a place that tried to break us, yet you came with strength, softness, and hope. We are grateful for every prayer and every kind thought that carried us through these months.
Thank you for being part of our journey, and for always holding us close in your hearts❤️
I wanted to make something new for the kids, so I made Egyptian style Shrimp Fries, crispy potato sticks shaped like shrimp and stuffed with a little cheese and flavor. 🍤🥔
It’s one of those simple dishes that look fancy but come from almost nothing, just time and love. ❤️
The kids couldn’t stop smiling, calling it “zaaki” and “fancy” after every bite. 🤤
In a place where ingredients are limited, creativity is what keeps the taste of joy alive. 🔥🫶
