The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Coast Branch, led by Chairman Dr. Niko Kimanga Gichana and Organizing Secretary Stephen Walunywa, has condemned the hiring of goons by the Kwale County Government to disrupt their peaceful industrial action at Msambweni County Referral Hospital in Msambweni Town on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Dr. Milaki Boy Juma, a pathologist at the hospital, claimed that 18 doctors were working under deplorable conditions and accused Governor Fatuma Achani of ignoring their plight.
